Critical Facilities Summit Brings the Industry Together in Nashville, Announces 2019 Dates

November 5, 2018 - Milwaukee — The 6th annual Critical Facilities Summit, held October 14-16 at Nashville's Music Center Convention Center was an opportunity for hundreds of mission critical FMs, data center managers, IT directors and vendors to connect and build a community of like-minded professionals.

Mission critical FMs and IT managers in attendance remarked about the sense of community that the Summit fosters. "The Critical Facilities Summit is a great place outside of classroom learning to meet and connect with vendors and your peers," said William Wolff, Data Center Manager for IKEA IT. Martin Stephens, Senior Director with LexisNexis Risk Solutions agreed, "It's an opportunity to connect and hear how others are handling problems or implementing solutions."

Exhibitors also praised the 2-1/2 day event for bringing the industry together. Greg Crumpton, Vice President at Service Logic, noted "Service Logic has supported the Critical Facilities Summit every year in one way or another. We believe this Summit brings together like-minded people who want to better our industry."

Mission Critical professionals attending the Summit tackled key industry issues and opportunities, from a candid discussion of threats and risks to a forward-looking analysis of the impact of edge computing. Other educational sessions examined keeping the ups uninterruptable, increasing diversity in the workforce, and resilience planning for natural hazards and climate change. Tours of Nashville area data centers and hospitals, and an expo hall filled with the newest technologies rounded out the mission critical experience.

The connections and community building in Nashville have set the stage for next year's Summit — September 23-25 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. For more information about the 2019 Summit, visit CriticalFacilitiesSummit.com or call Laurie Vega at 414-228-7701 ext. 482.
