Critical Facilities Summit Wraps Up Another Successful Event in Charlotte

October 27, 2016 — Milwaukee and Charlotte — The 4th annual Critical Facilities Summit held October 3-5 at the Charlotte Convention Center attracted nearly 500 mission critical FMs, data center managers, design engineers, operations managers, consultants, construction managers, and other executives from 39 states, Washington D.C., Canada, Brazil and Saudi Arabia. These professionals gathered in Charlotte to learn the latest strategies, and see the newest products and technologies for mission critical facilities.

According to Laurie Vega, Director of Live Events for Trade Press Media Group (co-owner and producer of Critical Facilities), exhibitors gave the 2016 Summit high marks for attracting top decision-makers that they can't reach at other industry events. Leading suppliers like Trystar agreed. "The biggest advantage that I see from the show is we get key people that you don't normally get in front of. It's not a lot of attendees, but the leads you get are very solid," noted Boyd Higgins, National Sales Manager with Trystar

Paul Burns, Sales Manager, Allied Applications LLC agreed saying, "The people that have been coming up have a genuine interest, it's more than just filling their bags with a brochure, saying I was there, so they really are digging in with some good questions. This is our first showing at CFS, and I have been impressed."

Conferees found the 2-1/2 day Summit to be a valuable investment of their time. Tim Elliott, Data Center Manager with MainTech said the educational presentations, and viewing the vendor displays in the main hall were extremely beneficial to him. Brian Thompson, managing principal of Optima Engineering, said "This was my third Summit. The expo and seminars were great, notably Chris Crosby's talk on the DC planning environment." Other attendees said the networking was better than ever. Raymond Muratore, Critical Infrastructure Manager with Scripps Networks Interactive remarked, "What I found most beneficial was having the opportunity to speak with such a diverse group of facilities managers and vendors to learn how they are addressing their day to day operating issues."

At press time, a record number of exhibitors have resigned for space at Critical Facilities Summit 2017 taking place October 23-25 at the Minneapolis, MN Convention Center. For more information about the event, visit CriticalFacilitiesSummit.com or call Laurie Vega at 414-228-7701 ext. 482.
