James D. Lake is the Vice President of Training for the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA). He has over 25 years of experience in fire protection including code enforcement, fire sprinkler industry representation, and codes and standards administration. He has served as the Staff Liaison to the NFPA Technical Committee on Automatic Sprinklers, and the Technical Committee on Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Systems. He has an editor credit NFPA Handbooks on Sprinkler Systems and on Inspection, Testing and Maintenance and is contributing author for the upcoming NFSA textbook. Mr. Lake has developed and delivered hundreds of technical presentations and trainings throughout the country and around the world. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Prevention Administration and a Master's Degree in Education.
