Dear Data Center Facility Manager,
One of the best ways to justify additional funding for data center operations is to use benchmark results to justify the need for additional resources. For example, you may be able to show that an additional investment in staff is likely to reduce costs in other areas.
Building Operating Management invites you to participate in a confidential benchmarking survey of data center facility operating costs. All survey respondents will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.
Survey participants will receive a spread sheet showing anonymized answers from all respondents. (An example of the spread sheet appears at the bottom of this email.) All survey responses will remain confidential (no site or company name will accompany the data in the report). The list of companies participating will be shared separately.
There are two ways to complete the survey. One is to enter your answers into the online survey form. Click on the button below to use the online survey form:
To provide your data by emailing (or faxing) a paper form with your answers, click on this link to the PDF survey form:

Building Operating Management is working with David Boston, Director, Facility Operations Solutions, TiePoint-bkm Engineering, LLC, on the benchmarking survey. David developed the questions and is available to answer questions about the survey. His email address is dboston@tiepoint-bkm.com and he is happy to respond by email or to arrange a time for a phone call. You can also contact me at ed.sullivan@tradepressmedia.com.
The deadline for responses is June 14. Since the number of readers contacted is small, your participation is especially important for the success of this project.
I look forward to getting your response.
