Roofing Advancements
As the demand for roofing continues to outpace the available labor pool of qualified workers, contractors are placing a renewed emphasis on products that enhance rooftop productivity. Coupled with the importance of utilizing environmentally responsible products and systems, innovation is critical in the commercial roofing market.

Carlisle SynTec Systems has recently introduced two breakthrough advancements in adhesive technologies making the installation of commercial single-ply EPDM roofing projects faster, more environmentally friendly, and more versatile.

Carlisle's CAV-GRIP III Low-VOC Adhesive/Primer is taking the commercial roofing industry by storm based on the combination of low VOC and low odor, CAV-GRIP III is a two-sided contact adhesive that provides excellent strength immediately, compared to one-sided wet lay-in adhesives that can take days or weeks to cure. It is versatile, quick to install, and has an extremely low temperature restriction for application.

Carlisle's Self-Adhering Technology (SAT) is another advancement in adhered EPDM systems that pre-applies a bonding adhesive to the bottom of the membrane. SAT EPDM sheets also feature the time tested and proven Factory Applied Tape technology that has been saving labor and enhancing quality for more than 20 years. Quick to install, SAT EPDM is a no VOC, no odor application, ideal for reroofing occupied buildings.

SAT EPDM and CAV-GRIP III are evolutions in adhesive technology that are responding to the needs of an ever-evolving marketplace.
