NFMT Remains Most Important Event in the FM Industry

Milwaukee, Wis. (April 19, 2018) — National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) Show (March 20-22) once again proved itself as the most important event in the FM industry. Despite the inclement winter weather and dire forecast, thousands of facilities managers found their way to the Baltimore Convention Center for NFMT 2018, demonstrating how important of an event it is.

NFMTs 110 conference sessions provided a diverse and influential offering of education to everyone in attendance. Simply unmatched in the industry, NFMT's conference sessions provided ample opportunities for facilities professionals to earn complimentary CEUs while learning about new ways to improve their buildings.

There were several noteworthy, popular conference sessions at the 2018 show, including, The Changing Role of Facilities Management in a "Connected" World; Mastering Soft Skills to Enhance Success; Data Collection and Analysis Techniques for Facility and Maintenance Managers; Women in Facilities Management 2018 Roundtable Discussion and Reception; and Facility Condition Assessments (FCA): Is it Time for a Third Party to Review your Facility?

“Our attendees proved they know a thing or two about resilience and perseverance at this year's NFMT,” said Wendy Dietzler, vice president of education for the conference. “Despite some travel difficulties caused by Winter Storm Toby, thousands of facility professionals made it to the conference and were rewarded with more than 100 valuable education sessions presented by thought leaders and experts. It was incredibly rewarding to see how the facility management community came together to learn how to move their organizations forward in 2018.”

“If you are in facilities management and go to the show, you will learn something that will save you time, money, or both,” said Brent Durham, Facilities Manager for Cumberland County.

NFMT attracted a mix of exhibitors and suppliers whose products and services are vital to the continued success of the FMs in attendance. The show enjoyed its highest exhibitor resign in years, as well as generating record interest in NFMT's fall event — NFMT Vegas.

“We always find that the attendees are engaged in finding new technologies to enhance their facilities and unlike many other trade shows, spend time in discussion at the booth,” said Karl Oelker, Corporate Sales Manager for exhibiting company, Steril-Aire.

In addition to a expo hall filled with new technology and packed conference sessions, NFMT Baltimore provided several networking opportunities for both attendees and exhibitors, including Solutions Exchange, Young Professionals Happy Hour and an Opening Night Party. These lively events help FMs and suppliers create new connections and reconfirm existing ones.

NFMT returns to the Baltimore Convention Center March 26-28, 2019. To date, 19,200 square feet of exhibit hall space has already sold for the 2019 event, setting the pace for a sold-out expo hall.
