High-Performance Buildings + Workplaces
Takes Austin by Storm
June 14, 2016 — Milwaukee and Austin — The 2nd annual High-Performance Buildings + Workplaces Conference and Expo held May 3-4 at the Austin Convention Center was a major-league success attracting facility managers, energy/sustainability managers, architects, and construction managers. Building off the success of last year's inaugural event, HPB+W 2016 attracted high-level decision-makers from 38 states and 5 foreign countries. These executives gathered in Austin to learn the latest strategies, and see the newest products and technologies that define high-performance buildings.

According to Wendy Dietzler, Vice President of Education and Conferencing for Trade Press Media Group, High-Performance Buildings unique focus attracts an audience of decision-makers that do not attend other industry shows. Numerous exhibitors echoed Dietzler's remarks. "High-Performance Buildings is definitely a more focused event than other shows which in turn attracts more decision-makers, the high-level facilities professionals and building engineers that we want to talk to," noted Aaron Beasley from WaterSignal.

Jerry Drew, CEO of Network Thermostat added, "the attendees are not just walking the expo hall aisles, they ask serious questions, have in-depth conversations and are genuinely looking to do business. High-Performance Buildings has already presented new customers to us. It's happened that fast, within weeks of the show we've had new business opportunities for deployment."

Hundreds of facilities executives found the education and expo hall to be extremely helpful. Rodolfo Zelaya, Supervisor of Plant Operations at Texas State University remarked "I've found that the sessions at High-Performance Buildings have been really informative in providing valuable and quantifiable tools for making better design decisions. The show helped update me in new technologies and gave me tools to improve efficiency in my plants."

At press time, leading product and service providers have already selected their space for High-Performance Buildings + Workplaces 2017 taking place May 17-18 at the Arlington, TX Convention Center.
