FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NFMT Continues to Pace the Facilities Management Industry

Milwaukee, Wis. (April 12, 2016) — The 16th National Facilities Management and Technology (NFMT) Show took place at the Baltimore Convention Center, March 22-24, 2016. As the largest and most influential trade show in the facilities management industry in the United States, NFMT once again had a buzzing show floor, a full-docket of highly-attended daily educational sessions, and a variety of new features each day of the event.

NFMT attracted a diverse mix of facility management exhibitors, resulting in a total of 664 booths. The footprint of the show increased to 66,400 net-square-feet, making it one of the largest in event history. With 125 educational sessions, NFMT is also the country's largest and most robust educational event for facilities management professionals. There were several noteworthy, popular conference sessions at the 2016 show, including, May the FM Force Be With You: What Star Wars can Teach You About Managing Buildings; Women in Facilities Management 2016 Roundtable Discussion and Reception; and Eyes in the Sky: Drones in Facilities Management.

“Over the past 16 years, NFMT has become more than a show. It's a community,” said Todd Kotlarek, Director of Events for Trade Press Media Group, co-owner of the event. “The entire community enjoyed a successful show, with exhibitors and attendees conducting business from the show floor, and appearing at several educational sessions as well. There's really no other show like NFMT.”

“This show is a must for us because of the quantity of quality leads that it generates for us,” said Fredrick Taggart, Director of Sales & Marketing, Lighting Breakthroughs.

As always, NFMT management debuted several new features during the three-day trade show, most notably, the QuickFire Theatre and Building Internet of Things Pavilion. The QuickFire Theatre afforded exhibitors 20 minutes for a presentation of their services to interested attendees, with a live Q&A session as well. The Building Internet of Things Pavilion was a sold-out, categorized section of the show floor for companies that offer products in this booming global market.

“We were thrilled to see capacity crowds at our networking events,” said Amy Brown, Director of Education and Conferencing, Trade Press Media Group. “The opening night networking party was an interactive, great way to kick-off a successful first day. The Young Professionals Happy Hour was a great gathering of up and coming stars in the FM industry, and the Solutions Exchange was literally ‘standing room only.’”

“Every year I come down and learn something new, and something grabs me,” said Jim Twig, supervisor of building and maintenance, city of Fredrick. “It was amazing. It's always good to come to NFMT, learn something new, see the products, and meet all the people.”

To date, 19,200 square feet of exhibit hall space has already sold for the 2017 event, setting the pace for another sell-out in the exhibit hall.

“2016 was Craftmaster Hardware's first exhibit at NFMT. Due to our extraordinary success, we look forward to 2017 and even better results,” added Tim Grogan, CEO, Craftmaster Hardware, LLC.
