WEEKLY ROUND-UP

Welcome to the HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com weekly roundup. Check out the key posts from last week and hit the ground running on Monday.

Well, this week's posts started off on the cheeriest of notes — a story on the BBC website described a plan to use the brewery waste of a Guinness plant to help power a children's hospital in Ireland. And a story from the Quartz website told of a healthcare facility's design inspired by three usually happy places — IKEA, Apple and Starbucks.

By the end of the week, however, things started turning a bit grim (though very interesting). The Health and Hospital Networks website offered Throwback Thursday photos of a fire in San Francisco that forced a hospital to evacuate onto a riverboat to set up shop.

More recent news came from Calgary, where a hospital was dealing with a wasp's nest that had resulted in a patient being stung dozens of times.

Click the links below for a quick sampling of the week's articles and be sure to come back to HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com every day next week. We’re gathering and sharing the news, insights and advice you need to do your job smarter today, tomorrow and far into the fast-changing future of healthcare facilities.
