WEEKLY ROUND-UP

Welcome to the HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com weekly roundup. Check out the key posts from last week and hit the ground running on Monday.

The topics of this week's posts ranged for the gigantic to the minute. Healthcare Design ran a series of stories on Dallas' huge Parkland Hospital set to open this month. And while the clinics in CVS stores are still relatively tiny, the New York Times website says the company's presence in the healthcare facility world in definitely growing. Also on the grow is the healthcare construction market, according to a story on the Modern Healthcare website.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are no details too small to be important. In Qatar, for instance, hospital regulations reach all the way down to patient room decorations in the fight against infections.  Another example of the importance of small details, bedbugs found in a Middleton, Texas, clinic turned out to be fleas — though neither option is good news to the Midland facility staff.

Click the links below for a quick sampling of the week's articles and be sure to come back to HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com every day next week. We’re gathering and sharing the news, insights and advice you need to do your job smarter today, tomorrow and far into the fast-changing future of healthcare facilities.
