WEEKLY ROUND-UP

Brought to you by Critical Facilities Summit

Welcome to the HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com weekly roundup.  Check out the key posts from last week, and come back ready to roll after your holiday weekend.

A facilities team is constantly going the extra mile and at a healthcare facility, that could mean any number of things. For instance, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website, hospitable service can improve HCAHPS scores. We also posted a blog on safely eliminating unwanted residual odors from disinfection and maintenance products.

And, if your facility is trying to boost hand-hygiene compliance numbers (and whose isn’t?), Becker's Infection Control and Clinical Quality says you might try to add some gross pictures of bacteria to your efforts. But, according to an article on GreenBiz, it is possible to go an extra mile too far when eliminating bacteria. Check out the Green Biz article here.

Finally, in this week’s column, Brad Keyes, CHSP,  answers the question: Q&A: Alcohol-based hand-rub solution storage. Visit healthcarefacilitiestoday.com every Wednesday for Brad's Q&A.

Be sure to come back to HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com every day next week. We’re gathering and sharing the news, insights and advice you need to do your job smarter today, tomorrow and far into the fast-changing future of healthcare facilities. Happy Fourth of July!
