Welcome to the HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com weekly roundup. Check out the key posts from last week and hit the ground running on Monday.

Last week's posts included news from the Los Angeles Times that revealed that Nearly two years before superbug outbreaks hit UCLA and Cedars-Sinai medical centers, the maker of the scopes involved was already warning hospitals in Europe about the risk of such patient infections. We also posted news about the new Mercy Hospital Joplin's weather resilient design.

Dangers — besides bacteria and extreme weather — are increasing for nursing staffs, according to an article on the CDC website about a rise in healthcare staff injuries.

Other trends (of the less violent variety) we looked at, include the evolution of urgent care centers to include infusion suites and the rise in the increased prominence of low-voltage system technology that could turn MEP to MEP-T.
