WEEKLY ROUND-UP

Welcome to the Healthcare Facilities Today weekly roundup. Check out the key posts from last week and hit the ground running on Monday.

We're creeping towards Daylight Savings Time, but the winter weather seems in no hurry to clear out. We posted several stories about the snow-laden East Coat from The Boston Globe — one about hospitals' battle to keep things running during winter storms, the other about how the snow actually started a fire at a Duxbury memory care facility.

Facility managers in Kentucky were hard at work, too, opening "Operation Snow Command Centers," according to the Louisville Business Journal. Meanwhile, an article in the Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo newsletter showed that the folks in Missouri won't let the weather have the last word. They've rebuilt a Joplin hospital destroyed by a 2011 tornado.

Click the links below for a quick sampling of the week's articles and be sure to come back to HealthcareFacilitiesToday.com every day next week. We’re gathering and sharing the news, insights and advice you need to do your job smarter today, tomorrow and far into the fast-changing future of healthcare facilities.
