How To Ensure Energy Upgrades Deliver Promised Savings

Energy upgrades are opportunities for FMs to be the hero - or the goat, if promised savings don't come through. Flooring: Taking It Out Is Just The Beginning

What is going to happen to that VCT or carpet tile once you're done with it? That's a question you should ask before installing flooring in the first place. LED Lighting Upgrades Have District Swimming in Savings

Every facility type can learn from the district's director of buildings and grounds, who says his department has performed 10 lighting upgrades in six years — each one designed to build on advances in LED technology for the benefit of students. The projects have served as a source of savings the department can devote to other facilities projects, and a laboratory to learn about the benefits of LED technology.
