Lighting Upgrade in K-12 on a Dime What's the right answer to this lighting situation? An elementary school with T12s in the hallways wants to upgrade to create brighter, more uniformly lit spaces. There are VERY limited funds. One suggestion is to go to T8s, changing out only ballasts/lamps, because it's the cheapest/fastest option. Another suggestion is to go all in on LED luminaires, to maximize light output. Utility bills are paid from a central office account, so increased energy savings at the school are not a significant motivating factor. What would you do?
