Variable-refrigerant flow (VRF) HVAC systems have been gaining new attention among FMs due to their energy efficiency and potential to simultaneously heat and cool separate spaces in a building. What's more, a VRF HVAC system excels at saving energy and money during part-load system use. For all their benefits, however, VRF systems must take specific building uses and climates into account before being specified, and facility managers have to evaluate each project separately to decide which VRF system is appropriate.

Attend this webcast to understand the differences between the two basic types of VRF systems, and learn what questions to ask before specifying a unit.
Learning Objectives Include:
  • Review VRF technology and features
  • Analyze the differences between air- and water-cooled VRF units
  • Understand the impact of ASHRAE 62.1 on VRF specification and installation
  • Discuss how to specify VRF units according to building features and use
