May 28, 2015 — Milwaukee — The sixth annual Facility Maintenance Decisions Achievement Awards has extended its deadline through Tuesday, June 2, 2015. The awards shine a spotlight on the central role maintenance and engineering departments play in the successful and efficient operation of the nation's institutional and commercial facilities. Submissions should describe outstanding accomplishments in maintenance, engineering and grounds management.

Entries must be in one of four categories:

• Renovations and Retrofits (HVAC system, plumbing system, roofing, grounds care etc.)
• Sustainability (water savings, energy efficiency, green purchasing, recycling etc.)
• Financial Management (budgeting, savings, capital planning etc.)
• Personnel Management (training, staffing, recruiting, outsourcing etc.)

All entries will appear on facebook.com/FMDmag, where visitors can vote for their favorites. Contest judges, including Facility Maintenance Decisions editors and facility management experts, will choose two winners in each category based in part on the results of online voting.
